*Sacred Scripture*Parable* The Enemy Who Sows – Tissot

This watercolor image by James Tissot shows a man planting weeds in his enemy’s field at night. The artwork is inspired by one of the parables of Jesus Christ about the Kingdom of Heaven, narrated in Matthew 13:24-30.
The Parable of the Weeds Among the Wheat.
24He proposed another parable to them.* “The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds* all through the wheat, and then went off.
26When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well.
27The slaves of the householder came to him and said, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where have the weeds come from?’
28He answered, ‘An enemy has done this.’ His slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29He replied, ‘No, if you pull up the weeds you might uproot the wheat along with them.
30Let them grow together until harvest; then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Saying the holy name of Jesus is the simplest way of praying always.
1-A prayer from Raphael the Archangel:
*While you are on this earth, you must praise the Lord God and give him thanks.
2-A prayer from Tobit and Tobias:
*They began to sing hymns of praise, giving thanks for all the mighty deeds God had done while his angel Raphael had been with them.
3-A simple Jesus prayer:
*Lord, Lord, Jesus Christ…Son of God…have mercy on me…Be kind to others…Work Hard…Be joyful.
4-Another simple prayer:
*When all that God asks of us is to be quiet and keep ourselves at peace-attentive to the secret work He is beginning in our souls-Be Empty and See That I Am God.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
