Welcome to the Beginning

Long before there were iPads, or televisions, or even books… Long before there were cars, or tall buildings, or schools… Long before there were grandparents, or great-grandparents…

There was just God, and a very big plan.

This collection isn’t just about old stories. It is a time machine. It is going to take us back—way, way back—to when the very first light turned on, when the very first animals walked the earth, and when the very first families went on great adventures.

You will meet heroes who fought giants, grandmas who laughed at impossible promises, and boys who became princes in foreign lands. But most importantly, you will see how God was there for every single moment of it.

Are you ready to travel back to the beginning? Let’s get started. It’s time for Tales from the Beginning of Time.

The Story of Creation

Day 1: Let Their Be Light. Suddenly, an intense cinematic burst of warm golden light illuminates the void casting long dramatic shadows.

Day 2: Divide the Water from the Water. The “waters above” dramatically separate from the “waters below” revealing a clear deep blue sky with soft diffused natural light breaking through heavy clouds.

Day 3: Land and Sea.The ground beneath shallow churning water rapidly rises and forms dry rocky land masses.

Day 4: Celestial Bodies. A dramatic time-lapse sequence begins as the sun and moon are instantly established in the sky.

Day 5: Swarming Waters. Murky chaotic water clears to reveal vibrant coral reefs and schools of fish and great sea creatures instantly swimming past.

Day 6: Living Creatures. In a wild lush field. Various land animals (cattle, creeping things, wild beasts) walk by peaceful yet powerful.

Day 7: Divine Rest. Static and steady, overlooking the entirety of the ordered beautiful creation at sunset. The world is peaceful and complete.

1: The Floating Zoo (Noah’s Ark) The adventure of the great flood and the rainbow promise.

2: The Dreamer’s Coat (Joseph and his Brothers) From a colorful coat to ruling a kingdom.

3: The Shepherd’s Slingshot (David and Goliath) A small boy with big faith takes on a giant.

4: Standing Before Stone Altars (Cain and Abel) Two brothers, Cain and Abel, standing before stone altars in a lush, ancient Mediterranean landscape. Abel, a gentle shepherd, kneels beside a healthy lamb as a warm, celestial light descends upon his altar. Beside him, Cain, a rugged farmer, stands over a pile of harvested grain; his altar remains in cold shadow. 5: Three Friends In The Fire (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) Three friends refuse to worship a golden idol and are thrown into a fiery furnace, emerging unharmed, showcasing loyalty to God.

6: The Garden of Wonder (Adam and Eve) The very first home and the rule that was broken.

7: The Height of Pride (Tower of Babel) A wide-angle view from the top of the tower, looking down at the earth below. The landscape of Mesopotamia stretches to the horizon, appearing small and insignificant, symbolizing the builders’ attempt to “make a name” for themselves.

All About Abraham & Sarah

8: A massive caravan led by Abraham and Sarah leaving the ancient, bustling city of Ur, as they turn their backs on stone temples toward the vast, untamed horizon.

God’s Prophets-Divine Messengers

King David-“Man After God’s Own Heart”

It refers not to perfection, but to his genuine desire to align his will with God’s, his deep devotion, and his pursuit of God even after failure.

Radical Humility

Biblical Events Illustrate How God’s People Applied the Ten Commandments’ Principles.

43: Commandment Applied: Honor your father and your mother. Ruth was a Moabitess, yet she applied the fifth commandment with more fervor than many Israelites. By staying with her mother-in-law, Naomi, after her husband’s death, she fulfilled the spirit of “honoring” a parent. In the ancient world, an elderly widow was the most vulnerable member of society; Ruth’s refusal to abandon Naomi was a practical application of the commandment to provide dignity and care for one’s elders, ensuring the family line remained intact.

44: Commandment Applied: You shall not murder. David understood that the sixth commandment was not just about the act of killing, but about respecting God’s sovereignty over life and authority. Even though Saul was trying to kill him, David recognized Saul as “the Lord’s anointed.” By sparing Saul’s life in the cave, David refused to take justice into his own hands, demonstrating that a holy identity means trusting God’s timing rather than resorting to violence.

45: Commandment Applied: You shall not steal / You shall not bear false witness. In Genesis 23, Abraham needed a burial plot for Sarah. Although the Hittites offered it for free as a gesture of respect, Abraham insisted on paying the full price (400 shekels of silver) in front of witnesses. By doing so, he prevented any future claims of theft or “stealing” land through legal ambiguity. He maintained a reputation for integrity, ensuring his “witness” among the pagans remained untarnished.

46: Commandment Applied: You shall not steal. Zacchaeus, a tax collector, had likely violated the eighth commandment for years by overcharging citizens. His repentance wasn’t just a feeling; it was a legal application of the Torah’s laws on restitution. By giving half his goods to the poor and paying back fourfold, he didn’t just stop stealing—he actively reversed the damage, proving that holiness requires making things right with those we have wronged.

47: Commandment Applied: You shall not murder / You shall not covet. Jonathan was the heir to the throne, and by all worldly logic, he should have “coveted” David’s rising popularity and status. Instead, Jonathan loved David as himself. He protected David from his father Saul’s murderous intent, effectively acting as a shield for the innocent. His life illustrates that a holy identity involves celebrating another’s success rather than envying it.

In a powerful gesture of brotherhood, Jonathan is seen unbuckling his own jeweled sword belt and placing it into David’s hands.

48: Commandment Applied: You shall not murder. When Pharaoh ordered the Hebrew midwives to kill all newborn boys, they “feared God” and disobeyed the king. This is one of the earliest recorded acts of civil disobedience in the Bible. By preserving life at the risk of their own, they upheld the sanctity of the sixth commandment, valuing God’s law of life over man’s law of death.

49: Commandment Applied: You shall not covet. The tenth commandment deals with the internal heart—the desire for what belongs to others. The early church in Acts reversed this impulse. Instead of desiring more for themselves, they viewed their possessions as belonging to the community. This radical generosity was the ultimate “application” of a heart free from covetousness, creating a holy community where “there were no needy persons among them.”
